Usama Al-Binni, Teaching Assistant

Usama Al-BinniI'm a graduate student at the Department of Physics and Astronomy, working toward a PhD in theoretical physics with Professor G. Siopsis.

My research is mainly about the possibility of producing and detecting mini black-holes in high energy collisions focusing on producing realistic predictions to help interpret certain aspects of possible observations at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). I come originally from Jordan, where I obtained a BSc and an MSc in theoretical physics. I came to the US with my wife Amal al-Wahish who is also a grad student at the Department, and we have a 9 month old daughter called Leena who is also a grad student at the Department.
