Corie Davis, Teaching Assistant

Corie DavisI was born on Elmendorf Air Force Base in Anchorage, Alaska but moved to Phoenix, Arizona only a few months later. The pull of the south could not be resisted though and eventually we ended up in Brentwood, which is where I went to high school. Having both parents in the Air Force has put me around science and engineering all my life, my dad is a computer engineer and my mom is a pilot, so naturally I chose to pursue neither of those professions. I am currently majoring in Biomedical Engineering as well as making sure my Pre-med requirements are fulfilled, I am very interested in the field of Orthopedics. Basically I am not sure whether I want to test and design implants for the body or be the one who actually implements the designs of someone else, so I am keeping my options open! I am very excited to help out with the Engineering Fundamentals part of Governor's School this summer and hope I can be a decent teacher for everyone. In my free time I really enjoy reading, making and eating cookies, swimming for the Vols Swim Club here at UT, rock climbing, and going to the gym.
